Cookout Postponed
It makes me sick to my stomach to announce that we're postponing the 10th Anniversary Cookout...which I've been looking forward to for 2 years--- [Thanks to the Democrats and RINOS in DC!]
All tickets will be refunded in full ASAP.
On average—-over 80% of our cookout attendees are from out of town, or out of state. And the vast majority drive.
Since we annouced the cookout—- many of our dear friends have expressed concerns not only with the price of gas but they're struggling to pay their day-to-day bills.
This intentional inflation is crushing a lot of our friends..
And while I'm very proud of the 10 year milestones… This is no time to celebrate a victory until we can all celebrate.
So we're postponing the 10 Anniversary Celebration until further notice.
And maybe in lieu of the Aug 6 Event—- we're considering a live stream.
In the meantime we’ll have a new episode sooner than you think…

One was all we needed
The Answered Prayer
I don't pretend to be smart enough to tell you why God does what God does. But I believe there are many reasons that God answers prayers… and I believe one of them is so others can see his works.
I think that's why God wanted me to share my dilemma with you guys in #RealTime.
After receiving that 51-Day notice to move my home and studio, you saw how freaked out I was.
Now I was not freaked out because I was losing my home and had no idea where I was going, because I KNEW God would take care of me—but freaked out in the sense that I was extremely anxious not knowing where I was going to live/work…aka the unknown. We are still human after all.
With the flood of new families moving to Tennessee… combined with corporations gobbling up residential properties all over— the options were scarce.
Then last weekend, out of nowhere—— the perfect property became available… a half mile away on the same street.
On Tuesday 5/10… we had less than a day to solve this seemingly insurmountable problem.
On Thursday I was approved.
I was approved because God brought some amazing new friends into my life——from North Carolina, California and Florida… You know who you are.
But equally or even MORE important… are those that may not have a personal relationship with the Lord who saw this real time dilemma unfold…whose interest may be peaked.
I'm not a preacher and this is no joke… God will fill your cup, if you let him.
And when I look back at when I was homeless… It's even more miraculous.
So now, rather than praying for God to help, give, solve or to do anything… it’s time to thank and acknowledge the great works of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.
And that is how God is going to save this nation.

And then there was one….
Property 2 turned out to be worse than Property 1.
I drove out to the property today only to be greeted by a crazed lunatic screaming and threatening me to get off his property… and to stop harassing his daughter? Whut? He would not even let me speak. Turns out “Human Cujo” is the owner… aka the landlord. Yikes.
I think God introduced me to the owner today so I would know what kind of person I would be dealing with. No thanks.
Which brings us back to Property 1
Despite the fact that it's unfair to have to pay an entire year in advance. When it’s all said and done— the price IS fair for a year. AND it turns out they are a very reputable company in the Nashville area, founded in 1989. AND they require this crap from everyone with ‘no credit.’ They're not just picking on me because I'm a conservative or Christian.
Today, after meeting Property 2’s Human Cujo, lol… I contacted ‘Property 1’ management Company and asked the for more time——and they graciously extended my time until noon tomorrow. I say graciously, because they have a BUNCH of people in line for the house right now. This is not hyperbole or based on their word— I’m actually seeing people looking every time I drive by.
The Perks
The first perk —— is that I won't have to make a rent payment for a year. This will allow me to easily make monthly payments to repay anyone that might be in a position to make the loan (Approximately 25k)
Perk 2… is that it is SO CLOSE… less than a 1/2 mile from where I am now…it would make for a near seamless move. Safe neighborhood, still close to my mailbox and my assistant…who lives in the same neighborhood. And allow me to get right back to work during this critical 2022 Election Season.
What I propose
So I put it in God's hands…as I ask if anyone of you guys are in a position to make such a loan. I will provide all details, the financials, tax docs and bank account. References, etc. I will gladly execute a promissory note with reasonable interest rate, and/or secure the note with my low-milage (39k) 2015 GMC vehicle.
We would need to finalize the deal by in the morning 11AM CT. You would receive monthly payments on the 1st of every month until paid in full within 12 months. No more than 14 months.
If it doesn't work out —I know God wants me to keep looking. But God might like this one too! Sure would be a relief to close the deal tomorrow and start moving.

In closing— I learned when I was living in the Kansas City basement with no money… that the most valuable thing we have is our word. And my reputation for honesty is crucial to the continued success of Intellectual Froglegs. I will not jeopardize that.

The Delimma
It all begins with an idea.
Sometimes we find ourselves in real pickles… and this one is a doozy.
I have no doubt that God is going to provide… but sometimes you need to get input from others.
First off this is not going to affect our next production… Because I have secured a back up studio just in case.
As I previously mentioned, my landlord sold the property that Intellectual Froglegs calls home… and I have until May 30 to vacate.
My financials are strong… verified by bank accounts and tax returns… perfect payment history per my current landlord…my references are strong… One of them is Chuck Woolery… and as if ‘under the tutelage’ of Dave Ramsey… I have no debt. Zero.
Everything I own… I pay cash for. Including my 2015 car
I had been assured by the landlord—that I would not have to move until after November 2022… so this was completely unexpected. And I was not prepared.
Looking for a place
The housing market is insane. There's nothing left. Everything selling/renting like hotcakes… Expensive hotcakes.
So here we are…
I found two properties that I have applied for… both approximately the same price.
Property 1 - Application submitted & Reviewed. Technically Accepted, but ridiculous. Bottom Line: I think they’re lefties.
None of my strong & reliable financials count… All they care about is I have NO CREDIT. Requirement : ONE YEAR PAID IN ADVANCE.
Thoughts: As ridiculous as that is… it’s the only sure thing. Then I wouldn’t have a rent payment for a year. But makes little difference—I don’t have an extra 25k laying around… but with prayer—- there’s a ‘slight chance’ I might be able to borrow it somewhere.
Property 2 - Application was submitted Thursday night… Still Pending. It’s actually the nicer of the 2 properties. It's located on part of a farm… With fiber optic internet.
The owners have not yet responded to the management company.
THE PICKLE
I have until 4 PM tomorrow (Tuesday May 10) to accept the ridiculous offer on Property 1.
I REALLY want to wait for Property 2. But I may get rejected all together.
I have about two weeks to get out of here.
What would you do? Any ideas?
